SYNOPSIS


In, “It Takes Ah Village,” we delve into the lives of Reshma and Alex, a Trinidadian and Caucasian American couple as they navigate the complexities and uncertainties of parenthood. Alongside them are Reshma’s mother, Jasso, whose traditional beliefs and intrusive nature add depth and humor to the narrative, and Reshma’s brother Vishal, who grapples with depression in the face of cultural and societal pressures. Together with their well-meaning yet sometimes misguided circle of family and friends, they embark on a journey filled with laughter, tears, and profound revelations.

It’s narrative, raises critical issues often brushed aside by society & cultures such as postpartum challenges, generational trauma & discriminatory behavior.
